21 DAY FAST
JAN 07 - JAN 27
WHAT IS FASTING & WHY WE DO IT...
Fasting is simply resisting something in order to FOCUS our attention & efforts towards God. When this is partnered with prayer we are able to see God do miracles.
Fasting does not change God or increase His commitment to us or to answering our prayers; it is a way to humble ourselves, putting down the desires of our flesh, in order for us to more accurately hear from God.
Fasting puts us in a position of authority to declare and enforce Gods word. It is important for YOU to declare your fast – declaring what it is for and how long it will last. Keep to what you declare for your fast and remember to pray.
Fasting without prayer is just a “diet”. During your fast believe God that you will receive what you set out to achieve by faith.

Search your heart today for deep secrets you have been hiding from God.
Spend a few minutes just relaxing in His Presence and be honest.
Psalm 51:6 “Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom”.
Today lets concentrate on endurance
Hebrew 12:1b -2 “`Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
The word “endurance” has several meanings, including persistence, patience, commitment, and dedication.
Focusing on the glorious outcome is a great motivator in life. Whenever you lose sight of the prize, you can become vulnerable to discouragement in your journey.
So often people are great starters but finish poor.
Remember this “Winners never quit and quitters never win.
I decree that:
· Jesus Christ fills me with the grace to endure.
· Discouragement flees from me because God grants me endurance and encouragement
· I lay aside the weights that easily ensnare me and keep me from finishing strong.
· I am a strong finisher.
· I run with endurance the race set before me.
· As I am encouraged with endurance, I freely encourage others to endure.
Thank God today for all He is doing as you fast. Thank Him for the benefits of sticking to your commitment.
Reading today 2 Kings 2:23-25
You can do it.
